AUSTIN, TEXAS – July 20, 2015 – CognitiveScale™, the Cognitive Cloud™ company, today announced it was cited in two recent Gartner Hype Cycle Reports: the Hype Cycle for Human-Machine Interface, 2015 and the Hype Cycle for Digital Government, 2015.
Gartner identified CognitiveScale as a sample vendor for virtual personal assistants (VPAs) as well as for cognitive computing. According to the Gartner Hype Cycle for Human-Machine Interface, 2015, (1), “VPAs have the potential to transform the nature of work and structure of the workplace.” Gartner identified specific benefits that can be realized from VPAs. “VPAs make everyday tasks easier (by prioritizing emails, for example) and its users generally more effective (by highlighting the most important content and interactions).”
In the Hype Cycle for Digital Government, 2015, (2), Gartner identified specific benefits that can be realized from cognitive computing. “Although performance-enhancing drugs are either illegal or immoral in sports, performance-enhancing smart machines (cognitive computing) will be more impactful than mobility, tablets, and cloud services because they can be directly tied to measurable performance improvements. In enterprises in developed nations, where non-routine cognitive work is more common than routine work, the value of cognitive computing should be obvious. It’s a force multiplier for the most valuable segment of the employee population. In developing nations, it can help raise performance on non-routine tasks to a level competitive to (or better than) in developed nations.”
“We believe that CognitiveScale being cited in these two important Hype Cycle reports further validates the importance of cognitive computing and its positive long-term impact on businesses, customers, and employees, said Akshay Sabhikhi, CEO, CognitiveScale. “Through our Cognitive Cloud platform, businesses across a variety of industries are able to derive more value from their data and use that insight and make machine augmented learning to transform and improve how they make decisions, engage customers, and create new market opportunities.”
